Thank-You Card

hi ya'll,
I trust today's going well for each of you. I had bowling last night and we bowled the 'bye' team which might sound easy BUT we still have to obtain a certain number of points to 'beat' the 'bye' :) We did btw; we took all 4 which was a muchly needed win count for us. Before we bowled, we were in 6th place(boooo!!) but HOPEfully after taking all 4 last night, we moved up at least 1 place.
Yesterday, inbetween house cleaning/dish and clothes washing...you know, all those mundane chores that seem to HAVE to be taken care of now and then? lol! ANYhoo, inbetween doing all that, I actually got another card made. It's a Thank-You card and I used the Best Kind of Friend set(product #114922 found on page 96 in the spring catalog; bold brights cardstock and Classic Brilliant Blue ink. I cut an oval using my large oval punch(product #107305 found on page 184 in spring catalog) and sponged around the edges with the blue ink. I also tried something different; I made my own background paper using the blue ink/a sponge/a homemade template. I can visualize this type of background 'stamping' being used for winter-type scenes can't you? :) Lemme know whatcha think! There's a regular shot and then a close-up shot of today's card. AND as always, if you click on the actual image, it'll take you to an "up close and personal" shot for more detail :)
Ya'll have a wonderfully-stampin' great day!
Kathy :)
