hi all,
Well, today I decided I wanted to try making something fairly fast and easy(kinda like the cards in my last couple of posts...but I didn't want to make another card this time) and so I came up with a bookmark. I think it turned out pretty good. I embossed the star and also the sentiment at the bottom. After embossing the star(which is from the Fun & Fast Notes set) in black ink, I then 'colored' it using my ink(s) and blender pen. Lemme tell you! It works sooooo MUCH better when the outline is embossed! It works kinda like the Embossing Resist technique, I reckon :) ANYhoo, ya might try that before coloring with your blender pen--marker--chalk w/blender pen--aqua pens. :)
The paper used here is some my sweet upline gave me(outdated SU cardstock) and the textured solid is from my hubby and the thin gold ribbon is just extra I had and wanted to use up :)
Here's a full shot of my new BookMark:(REMEMBER, you can click on ANY images within my Blog entries to enlarge them!!)
Cute huh? :) I'm gonna use it while reading Book #4 of my Left Behind Series :)
Here's a close-up view of the top portion:
And here's a close-up of the bottom portion with the sentiment:
I've also got another totally different BookMark idea in the works; maybe I can get it completed today and tagged onto this entry.
If not, until we meet again, ya'll have a super duper stampin' good day!
